What to Expect
You’ll get the most out of diabetes education by attending all recommended classes. Life can get busy, but making time for each session can have a lasting impact on your health and well-being.
Each class begins with a brief review of previous lessons and then introduces new information to help you manage your diabetes effectively. Between classes, you may have simple assignments like tracking your meals or daily blood sugar levels. It may feel like a lot at first, but we’re here to guide and support you every step of the way.
Insurance & Costs
Many insurance plans cover a set number of hours for diabetes self-management education. If you don’t have insurance or have used all your covered hours, don’t worry — community-based diabetes education sessions are available at no cost. Call us to learn more.
Ask your primary care provider or endocrinologist to help determine which option is best for you.

Getting Started
To join our self-management classes, you’ll need a referral from your primary care physician or diabetes specialist (endocrinologist). This ensures the education you receive is tailored to your needs.
